I started out this weekend with some happy (although not so happy due to the full price) hour drinks with my roomie Noelle and then we went to get oh so relaxing pedi's. I've decided that a fantastic pedi and a massage chair is the greatest way to kick off a weekend!
My normal weekend night out consists of Allie and I sitting at the bar casually drinking our Michgolden's and possibly being entertained by some piano players. We love it when others come join us and this weekend we had some surprising guests. Tim, Bo, Uutes and his friend Mike all came out to the bar and it was a ton of fun and extremely entertaining! We had a blast being slightly drunk and silly. These boys are all funny and entertaining which made for a fantastic friday night!
On saturday I worked at my favorite museum and then headed off to the Twins game (number 17 for those counting). We met up with a co-worker and his wife and their friend and then Tim and Bo came and joined us. We had a blast cheering the Twins on to a 14-2 victory. We then celebrated the win with a drink at Hubert's where Allie and I got free shots from a drunk man from fergus falls. Afterwards Allie and decided to check out highland fest (via the bar) and there we ran into some INTERESTING characters. We first met Sue (real name unknown) and Tom who were extremely drunk and dancing. Sue was slurring like no tomorrow and according to her she was 49. She was trying to dance with any available man. I loved watching the good sports that would go out there and dance with her, and I mocked the ones that gave her dirty looks. Then we meet a guy named Brent aka red bandanna boy. We coaxed him into asking Sue to dance in which she denied (that's right, the girl dancing with anyone said no). Allie being a good sport went out and danced with both of them while I babysat the beer. There was so much more to the night, but I'm sure the details are unneeded. However, Highland fest was fun and full of interesting characters. I love my hood! Where else would you get such as array of college students, rich folks and eccentrics. I just wish I would have taken pictures to show off.
Also those who read my blog (aka Noelle) might have noticed that I pimped it via pyzam.com They have fun layouts and they have a ton of stuff, but it does take a while to get through all of it. The big downfall is that if you have anything on the side (such as blog lists or vices) they get erased.
