bad day update

So after sending out an adorable e-mail:

Hello everyone,
I am e-mailing from my new office also known as the caribou near my house. My car is not functioning today and I will not get it back until tomorrow. Would anyone be able to pick XXX at her job at 7:00 tonight? I will get you a gift card from my new office for your troubles. I have no way of getting there, so please? With espresso on top?

I did finally get an offer for someone to help out, so that was good. I walked everywhere I had to go yesterday and even today when my car was being fixed I walked and did some errands. I live close to lots of places that I drive to and it made me realize that I should try and walk places more often. It does take longer, but when I live two blocks away from a grocery store why should I drive when I need something little for supper? I could just as easily walk, which is better for me and my car. However, winter is another story and when it's cold I don't care how close the store is. However, for summer I am going to try and walk more places...I use to do it all the time in my home town and things were farther away.
